It is a special day. Not only is it the first day of a new month, but I am hosting this month’s Monthly Mingle. The event started many moons ago, before I even began blogging. Then, I participated several times at that time. But, it has been too long since I contributed so I have decided to jump back in with both feet.
Rather than go the St. Patrick’s Day route, just because it is March, I thought I would go a different direction. It is Berries and Cherries month here in the States. As I am slightly addicted to both, I thought it would be a fitting theme for my host month. Now, I realize that berries and cherries may not be in abundance in various parts of the globe. No worries! Notice I didn’t say “fresh”. Berries and cherries come in many forms, candied, dried, frozen, and/or jammed. In fact, one of my favorite desserts that I have made, to date, included dried strawberries.
You’re limited only by your own imagination.
Monthly Mingle is easy and entertaining. This is how it works:
- Create a dish that fits the “Berries and Cherries” theme
- Post about it on your blog between now and March 31 (entries must be in English, please).
- Your creation must exclusively be prepared for the current Monthly Mingle theme and cannot be submitted to any other blog event.
- You must provide a link to the Monthly Mingle page and this post.
Once you have posted your dish/recipe, please email me at melecotte[at]gmail[dot]com with Monthly Mingle in the subject line. Please provide the following information:
-Your blog name
-A link to the post where the dish appears
-The name of your dish
-A picture no wider about 600 pixels
Sound good? Ready? Set? Mingle!
